| Cats are just puuuuuuuuurrfect pets……well, almost perfect. | | Posted Thursday, January 26, 2006 10:20:47 AM by Rose Martins | Cats are mysterious. Cats have always been known as aloof, proud and yet somewhat loveable creatures. The siamese cat is the most aloof and standoffish of all. But what a magnificent creature.
There is a lot of suspicion attached to the black cat, with folklore and witchcraft leading back to centuries yonder.
And the cheshire cat's smile has been made famous thanks to the tales Alice in Wonderland and Harry Potter. Different breeds of cat, have different characteristics and many similarities.
Cat's mark their territory by means of spraying urine. And the trespassing cat that enters another cats marked territory can mean an ugly cat fight. Pet cats have habits that can sometimes be trying to their owner.
Cats have been know to rake at furniture with their claws, totally ruining the furniture. You name it, a cat has ruined it by using it's claws.
Hollywood have taken the cat image and characteristics to create a cat superhero - namely cat woman. Cat woman is anything but funny or fat.
She is sleek and slinky, using her cat-like features to save the world. She is the picture of cat sophistication.

| | | TR City Council considers limit on dogs, cats | | Posted Tuesday, November 07, 2006 7:08:45 PM by Blog57 Team | | TWO RIVERS The city may limit the number of cats and dogs allowed per household to discourage "pet hoarding," according to City Manager Greg Buckley. Unlike Manitowoc, Two Rivers does not limit the number of pets per household, Buckley said Monday night. And that explains why a Manitowoc resident with more than 30 cats wants to move to Two Rivers. A Two Rivers community service officer already is working with a Two Rivers resident who has 23 cats, Buckley added. Numerous cats or dogs often create noise or health concerns, said Police Chief Joseph Collins. Buckley, as a homeowner with three cats and one dog, said he "would like to stay fairly 'liberal' in what (the city) allows, but tough enough to make animal hoarding clearly illegal." Buckley suggested a maximum of four adult cats or three adult dogs, or no more than five in combination.... | |

But Henry and Mike Thomas kept the ground game going at critical moments to give the Wildcats 116 yards rushing. Geelong defeated the Power 13.10 (88) to 10.7 (67) to win the annual pre-season exhibition match. Eighteen-year-old Ryan Gamble top-scored with four goals in just his second first-team outing for the Cats. | | | Count your cats: Pierce County enforces pet law | | Posted Saturday, October 07, 2006 7:07:55 AM by Blog57 Team | | Glenn Schmeiske thought he was doing a good thing by adopting cats from the Humane Society for Tacoma and Pierce County. Over the years, he rescued six felines from the shelter, which required him to buy pet licenses for them at a total cost of $72 per year. But he recently got a letter from the Pierce County Auditor's Office informing him he is, in essence, a scofflaw. The county code requires people who own as pets more than six but fewer than 20 dogs or cats – or any combination of the two – to buy a $150-per-year private kennel license. The letter – copies of which went out to nearly 300 county residents – stated that the county intends to start enforcing that rule, which is a change from the way the Humane Society conducted business when it was in charge of enforcing the county's animal laws.... | |
